Jim Bob Duggar is aware that his family and their show, "19 Kids And Counting", are having a lot of critics due to their remarks and their actions towards specific situations.
Last month, an online petition has been signed by around 180,000 people when the petitioners have urged TLC, the network where the show is being aired, to cancel the above-mentioned hit show. It has gained a lot of attention and Jim Bob Duggar is very thankful for that.
The petition was reportedly submitted at Change.org and that the Duggar family's patriarch pointed out that although there were a lot of people who signed, it does not concern him even for a bit. He said, "They won't succeed. Our show is the No. 1 show on TLC. It's a small group creating this fuss. All it has done is give us more exposure." He spoke during the Booster Banquet at Hannibal-LaGrange University.
He adds that after the petition was submitted, their Facebook page even gained around 50,000 likes in just a week. He pointed out, "God is expanding our borders through the national media."
The petition has accused the religious family of being anti-gay and that it said that they are hoing the Duggar's show will be ended as they are LGBTQ0-fearing. When asked about the allegation, Jim Bob Duggar said that they love everybody but not every time they won't agree to everyone.
A counter petition was also signed and was posted on the Facebook fan page of the Duggar family, Michelle. The caption reads, "The Duggar Family is under attack from anti-marriage advocates for standing for traditional marriage."
They added that they commend the family for standing for what they believe in as marriage is "ordained by God between one man and one woman" and that no individual's sexual preference and lifestyle shall redefine the meaning of marriage.
