In a fun twist of fate while the world's most popular royal family visits New York City, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Beyoncé and Jay Z ran into each other at an NBA game earlier this week - and so two of the most powerful couples in the world met each other in person!
It's not every day that people around the world hear that Kate Middleton, Beyoncé and Jay Z are in the same place - so it's lucky for the world, and particularly for those at the Brooklyn Nets game last Monday, that the Dukes of Cambridge are visiting New York right now!
According to The Daily Mail, the meet-up between Kate Middleton, Beyoncé and Jay Z was inevitable, as they basically just ran into each other at the game. The two couples were seated right across the aisle from one another, and in the game's halftime the King and Queen of Hip-Hop came up to the future King and Queen of England for some royal strutting about.
There were no curtsies or bows when the two power couples met: as it seems fitting for royals when they meet other royals (regardless of the fact that some of them might be pop culture figures rather than blue blood), the meet-up between Prince William, Kate Middleton, Beyoncé and Jay Z was sealed with a handshake, according to IB Times.
The two huge couples had a lively albeit short chat that was captured by the Twitter and Instagram accounts of just about every person in the stadium. The game they were watching - the first NBA game ever for the couple second in line to the throne of the United Kingdom.
According to Hollywood Life, the meeting between Prince William, Kate Middleton, Beyoncé and Jay Z wasn't the only interesting thing about their visit - they've also been talking to president Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and attended a fundraising dinner. At that very Nets game, they went backstage to see LeBron James!
