Holograms and 3D Screens: The Smartphone Features of the Future

With the introduction of Apple's Retina Display that delivers a sharper resolution than what the human eye can actually perceive, smartphones may have also reached the peak when it comes to screen resolution. However, people still want more and mobile companies are starting to move from 2D to 3D for smartphone screen.

Today, there are some 3D smartphones available in the market, which include the first Samsung AMOLED 3D, Motorola MT810 and the LG Optimus 3D.

Another possible feature that will attract many smartphone lovers in the future could be holographic projections. Basically, it will mean a combination of projections from smartphones and 3D future-features-smart-phones. With regards to user interactions with the mobile phone, 3D displays can also be integrated with movement elements.

For instance, it is possible for the user to resize his or her photos with the use of his/her hands to 'compress' or 'pull' the holographic images that appear in front of them, move objects and more.

Future holographic displays will provide greater interactivity as compared to traditional displays. The contents will become more flexible. Rather than just viewing shot after shop passively, viewers can choose to pause and/or zoom in to explore in details, both temporally and spatially. An improved user capture experience will also be possible. This pertains to holographic displays that contribute to a more immersive experience.

With the increasing technological innovations these days, it is not possible for the mobile companies to produce and develop improved features for a better user experience with smartphones or any other mobile devices. Businesses are starting to innovate to provide the consumers with the best products and service that they need. With the rapidly growing trend in the technology, it is just a matter of time before people find these features in their smartphones and in their mobile devices.
