Eric Garner Protests: After Ferguson, New York City Becomes Next Protest Hub When Police Officer Fails To Get Indicted [PHOTOS]

Different fractions of the United States police have become the target in the last few months, after the issues in Ferguson, Missouri and now following a second case of police brutality, now in New York City: the Eric Garner protests become stronger than ever.

As ABC News reports, the Eric Garner protests have been gathering more and more adepts since last Wednesday December 3, when the Staten Island grand jury failed to indict Officer Daniel Pantaleo for the death of the African American man over this past summer.

Following the ongoing protests in Ferguson, Missouri over the death of 18 year-old black man (plus the subsequent acquittal of the shooter in a grand jury and the leaked information involving the KKK in Ferguson county), now New York City also lights up at the face of injustice with Eric Garner protests.

A policeman, Daniel Pantaleo, choked Garner, a black asthmatic man in his forties, to death, even though Garner called out several times in plea, saying "I can't breathe." The whole thing was caught on video, as a bystander walking by caught it on tape and then posting it on YouTube.

Millions have seen the video ever since, and it's one of the main reasons why the Eric Garner protests have gathered so much momentum in the past few days, according to The Guardian. As demonstrations continue, crowds chant Garner's words: "we can't breathe."

However, New York isn't the only city that has hosted Eric Garner protests, according to The Washington Post: other U.S. big metropolis such as Oakland, Seattle, Baltimore and Atlanta also saw huge demonstrations, as many marched and chanted in protest of the Staten Island grand jury results that let Officer Pantaleo walk free after Garner's murder.

As of Thursday, dozens of New York citizens marching in the city have been arrested in the midst of the Eric Garner protests.
