On Wednesday, the teacher killed in Abu Dhabi was identified. On the same day, the case was solved as the suspect for the teacher killed in Abu Dhabi had been captured by the authorities. The identification and the motive for the murder remain undisclosed, NBC News reports.
The suspect who was wearing black robe and full-face veil and dubbed as “Reem Island Ghost” due to its hidden identity was caught and held liable for the teacher killed in Abu Dhabi posh mall. The American teacher was attacked by the assailant in the ladies toilet where she sustained severe wounds that led to her death.

On Wednesday, Saif Bin Zayed, minister of the interior for the United Arab Emirates reported in the press conference that the “Reem Island Ghost” who killed the foreign teacher was already seized by the authorities.
The teacher killed in Abu Dhabi’s mall was identified as Ibolya Ryan, a 47-year-old American citizen who was working as a teacher in Abu Dhabi since September 2013. She is a mother to 11-year-old twin boys, who are living with her and to a 15-year-old daughter who’s attending a boarding school in Europe.
Earlier, the “Reem Island Ghost” wearing a head-to-toe traditional robe was believed to be a man in disguise. On Wednesday’s press conference, the minister of the interior for the United Arab Emirates cleared that the assailant to the teacher killed in Abu Dhabi was an Emirati national who’s in her late 30s.
The attacker was caught in her home where bomb-making materials were also confiscated by the authorities. Aside from being liable to the teacher killed in Abu Dhabi mall, she was also charged for planting bomb outside the home of an American doctor also in Abu Dhabi.
The killer who was seized by the Abu Dhabi police was traced through the CCTV video footage where she was spotted coming and going the elevator, before proceeding to female’s restroom. Based on the recording, the killer came out of the restroom 90 minutes later and was rushing to escape.
The victim who was identified as Ibolya Ryan was immediately taken to the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, but she didn’t make it due to her sustained wounds. The teacher killed in Abu Dhabi mall came after U.S. Embassies warned citizens about a possible attack of the jihadist to American teachers in the area.

Ibolya Ryan, the teacher killed in Abu Dhabi was a teacher trained in U.S. and Europe. On her online profile for Footprints Recruiting she states that she is working in the Middle East because she finds the culture and language of the Arabs interesting.
The twin boys of the teacher killed in Abu Dhabi are now in the custody of the authorities until their father arrives. The case of the American teacher killed in the Abu Dhabi mall was seen as a possible attack of the terrorists as seen in the jihadist website.
