$100,000 In Bag Found At San Jose Burger King!

$100,000 Found At Burger King - It's rare to make that sort of finding an even rarer to find a person who will report it and give it back.

The situation happened in a Burger King located in San Jose, Calif. On early Wed. the bag was at a booth in the fast food restaurant before Sahista Bakawla, the assistant manager, saw it.

"I twice cleaned, like two or three times cleaned the tables and it's still there. I waited until 3 p.m. and nobody came here," she said and ABC 7 reported.

After nobody claimed the abandoned blue backpack, she called the owner, Altaf Chaus.

He opened up the bag in order to find some sort of ID to link the backpack and contact the owner of it. Instead, what he found were $100,000 in $50 and $100 bills, NY Daily News noted.

"One hundred dollar bills stack up like half the bag. I said, 'Wow! Today is my birthday, this is my birthday gift'."

Still, he chose to do the right deed and called the police. Inside the bag, the authorities did not only find the cash, but also a small amount of marijuana, a pack of cigarettes, candy and a bank slip.

They are still looking for the owner of the bag containing the astounding $100,000. In the meantime, Chaus explained his gesture of admirable honesty.

"I've been in this country 26 years and I worked two jobs for 15 years before I bought this Burger King. So I'm a very hard-working man. I don't want that money, maybe it belongs to somebody."

The story took one costumer to approach the San Jose Burger King and stopped to thank the assistant manager for finding the bag and actually calling the owner.

She said she would have done the same thing but knowing that someone else did simply made her feel good.

Burger King certainly had a huge surprise this thanksgiving with the $100,000 bag in their restaurant.
