Nicki Minaj Apology: Music Fans Shocked Over Nazi Video Causing Nicki Minaj Apology [VIDEO]

Nicki Minaj apology for her latest music video 'Only,' which features cartoon characters of herself and her rapper colleague Drake, has stirred conversation on the appropriateness of music videos in the music industry. In the lyric video, which features Nicki Minaj in very militaristic scenes resembling the Nazi regime has been taunted as being too Nazi and possibly anti-Semitic.

The Nicki Minaj apology could not come at a better time. Just as the heat was packing on her new video 'Only,' where the singer appears to be spreading Nazi propaganda and even portrays Minaj as a military dictator who is surrounded by red troops with red banners resembling those of the Nazi during World War II. The 'Young Money Records' logo has also been recreated in the video in a way that makes it too similar to the Hitler Swastika, further fuelling the anti semitic debate.

Nicki Minaj's apology was posted on social media through the singer's official Twitter page. Minaj said, "I didn't come up w/the concept, but I'm very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I'd never condone Nazism in my art."

She further states that, "The artist who made the lyric video for "Only" was influenced by a cartoon on Cartoon Network called "Metalocalypse" & Sin City."

Nicki Minaj alleges that the maker of the video was inspired by a cartoon on Cartoon Network known as Metalocalypse. She further states that both the producer of the video and the person in charge of making the video happen to be Jewish. Drake himself, who featured in the video, has Jewish roots nd is yet to comment on the video.

Nicki Minaj's video was criticized across social media and by music reviewers for being too Nazi. In fact, in an Entertainment Weekly poll, 67% of pollsters demanded an apology from the Anaconda rapper. They got just that from the Nicki Minaj apology.
