Bret Michaels Surgery- Renowned rocker, director and Poison frontman had many health issues in the past. This time, Bret Michaels surgery in kidney has tied him down to hospital following his hospitalization six times in two weeks.
Michaels' condition was confirmed by his long time friend and bandmate, Pete Evick in Michaels' facebook page. Evick stated Michaels has been confined in six different hospitals in the Midwest. The singer was not able to perform in his recent supposed performance in last Thursday in Champaign.
The latest, Bret Michaels surgery, where two stents were placed in his body has made it even harder for the Poison frontman to go back to his singing engagements. Evick relayed Michaels always want to perform even after the operation and he did, but was hospitalized again.
"This time it went real bad. During the show he gave 100 percent, but he hurt himself. Jumping around with two stents was a bad idea. I can't explain the amount of blood or where it came from, but it was horrifying on his bus after the show," Evick said in a statement in Michaels page.
After Bret Michaels surgery, the reckoned rocker resumed his scheduled shows immediately. He performed in Memphis Tigers after the two stents were put into his body. Michaels had performed in Knoxville, Tennessee and is expected to be seen in Florida this Thursday.
Evick claimed that following Bret Michaels surgery in Kidney, Michaels suffered so much after his show in Knoxville that he has to be brought again to the hospital.
Michaels health has always been at stake. Before Bret Michaels surgery, he was already diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. He underwent an earlier surgery, which is appendectomy in 2010. Shortly after some weeks, he was operated again for a spotted brain hemorrhage.
It's a good thing that the singer has always been positive about his life and condition. After so many health issues, the "Poison" frontman was able to fully recover. However, in the same year, he was again a hospital patient following a surgery in patent foramen ovale or hole in his heart.
Up to this day, Bret Michaels commitment to his craft is 100 percent despite his condition after the operation. Evick assured Michaels' fans that the singer is on his way to recovery and will not cancel any singing engagements in the coming months.
