[WATCH} ANACONDA EAT ALIVE: GUY WANTS ANACONDA SWALLOW HIM ALIVE ON TV! PETA PROTESTS

Anaconda Eat Alive - A guy ventures into a terrifying stunt to be filmed on TV while eaten alive by an anaconda.

The fearless man, Paul Rosolie is a naturalist and wildlife filmmaker who lets himself into the mouth of an anaconda and be swallowed alive while the entire extraordinary act is filmed for a Discovery Channel special, reported by Entertainment Weekly.

In the Discovery Channel special, "Eaten Alive", which is part of the network's "Mega Week", Rosolie is the lead man of a team heading into a "unique ecosystem that no one has ever explored before". The team enters the middle of a floating forest in hopes to see the dangerous and largest species of snake in the world, the anaconda.

The Discovery special's trailer shows that the team was successful in finding and meeting the dangerous reptile but the next thing they'll do is the unthinkable. Catching the anaconda is just the first part of their mission. The ultimate mission of the team: anaconda eats Rosolie alive with his head first to enter the mouth of the snake.

After catching one anaconda, Rosolie with the help of Discovery's team, aims to be the devoured by the huge reptile wearing a custom-built snake-proof suit. The trailer shows Rosolie all geared-up and ready get inside the anaconda's belly.

In a report by Entertainment Weekly, Rosolie is told to have covered himself with pig's blood to be more appealing to the snake and be its "free meal" when anaconda eats him alive.

The upcoming TV experiment gained criticisms and protests from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and made this respond to the news of the anaconda to eat a man alive: "This blatant publicity stunt sounds far-fetched, but if the description is accurate, the snake was tormented and suffered for the sake of ratings...Anacondas go days without eating and expend the energy needed to do so selectively. Making this snake use up energy by swallowing this fool and then possibly regurgitating him would have left the poor animal exhausted and deprived of the energy that he or she needs. Shame on this pseudo 'wildlife expert' for tormenting this animal, and shame on the Discovery Channel for giving him the incentive to do so. PETA has not heard back after reaching out to the Discovery Channel asking them to pull the show, whether it is a hoax or not."

In response to this allegation, Discovery assures that the network's special with anaconda eats Rosolie alive has already been filmed and will air on Dec.7 and that the snake was not harmed. However, the network was coy as to how much of the man's body was consumed.

Anaconda eats Rosolie alive will push through on its airing date and Rosolie justifies his act in a Tweet: "If u know me - I would never hurt a living thing. But you'll have to watch Eaten Alive to find out how it goes down."
