Nicole Kidman's father passed away last month but the actress still feels happy and loved as partner Keith Urban 'literally carried' her through these tough times.
Nicole Kidman's father, Dr. Anthony Kidman, was killed following an accident the past month. The tragic incident happened while Dr. Kidman was on a visit to Nicole's sister, Antonia Kidman, and her six children in Singapore.
A clinical psychologist at the Royal north Shire Hospital, Nicole Kidman's father is remembered by the actress in a speech as "a good man, a compassionate man, a strong man, a man that was always there for me. He was my thinker, confidante, my friend and my protector."
In a recent interview Thursday with Ellen DeGeneres , the 47 year old Australian actress, opened up for the first time about the devastating experience of losing her father and how her partner for nine years, Keith Urban has been very supportive.
"He has been so good to me for nine years, but for the last month, which has been a really tough time for me ... he's been amazing," said Kidman on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Urban and Kidman have been married since June 2006.
"To have my husband just step up that way ... it makes me cry. We all go through hard times in our lives, but to be literally carried by your partner, and physically, at times, because I was so devastated. I'll do anything for that man," Kidman added.
During the emotional funeral ceremony of Nicole Kidman's father in Sydney, Urban performed an acoustic version of "Amazing Grace", in a report by People.
Nicole Kidman's father's death only made her and her relationship with husband stronger. The couple has two children, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
