Taco Bell App: Tex-Mex Fans Can Customize Their Meal Right From Their Cellphones! [VIDEO]

Taco Bell's app just went through a major revamp in both iOS and Android, and will now be able to provide its users with the ability to customize, order and pay for their order from their mobile devices. The new Taco Bell app was released earlier this week.

According to Forbes, the new Taco Bell apps comes at a time when 70 percent of the chain's orders are from the drive-through, with only 30 percent going through the store - and then, from those, about 50 percent of all of the chain's in-store purchases are takeaway.

In other words, the patrons of the fast food chain are looking for really fast food, and they may not have all that much time to wait for an order if they can help it - which is where the new Taco Bell app comes in.

Yum! Foods, the company behind the famous Tex-Mex food chain, announced the new Taco Bell app earlier this week. Among the new features, there is a geo location; this means that, once the order has been made and the customer is when 500 feet away from one of the food chain's venues, the app will be asking if they'd like their order to be prepared, so it will be ready and hot by the time the customer drives into the restaurant.

The new Taco Bell app allows patrons to fully customize their orders; any of the tacos, burritos, quesadillas or whatever products in the chain can have more cheeses, different kinds of meats, extra lettuce or none at all - and the entire thing can be made up through the app.

"There are literally billions of combinations of Taco Bell ingredients that you can put into this thing," said Chris Brandt, the chief marketing officer of Taco Bell, via Fast Company.
