Previously on Supernatural Season 10, Sam initiated the curing process to get rid of Demon Dean at the bunker with Castiel warning him of the consequences when the curing process fails. Amid Sam's determination, Dean escaped and was ready to kill his own brother just so he could live as Demon Dean. Elsewhere, Crowley killed Adina and gave her grace to Castiel on condition that he would help cure Demon Dean, and when he did, the curing process was realized and Dean is once again human. However, the Mark of Cain remains to be a problem. This week, things will take an interesting turn when a werewolf from the past returns, only to carry out a series of brutal murders. With this, the Winchesters go undercover to help the local sheriff solve the mysterious case. In a sneak peek to the upcoming episode, the local sheriff could be heard telling Sam and Dean, "Folks torn clean through. Hearts absent." To which Dean responds with "hearts absent as in?" The local sheriff then explains that it appears the hearts have been eaten by the unknown creature. The local sheriff then reveals that a drunk witness saw a girl getting torn up. The catch however is that no dead body or blood was retrieved in the second investigation on the missing second victim. Dean then gushes about his thoughts on the case saying, "Hearts missing, sounds wolfy to me right? Do you think it was the girl?" And Dean may be right especially when they find out that werewolf Kate is back. But could she really be the culprit or is someone framing her up? During the 200th episode red carpet press conference, episode writer Adam Glass dished about the return of werewolf Kate on the show. "Her experience, as great Monster of the Week episodes always do, reflects basically where the boys are at emotionally right now. So it will be them looking at themselves in the mirror through Kate and what's happening in her experience." Glass then continued by their decision to visit Lady Lycanthrope. "It was like The Incredible Hulk, which was pretty cool, as she's walking off. And I think everybody in the writers room was like, 'What happened to Kate? What is her next move?'
