Megan Fox is "Zeroville"'s latest star, joining the film that will see James Franco's latest venture as a director, in the adaptation of the 2007 novel by Steve Erickson. Besides the beautiful "Transformers" star Megan Fox, the "Zeroville" cast features some great stars usual to the Franco crowd, such as best bro Seth Rogen.
Megan Fox's "Zeroville" cast is just the latest announcement in the production of the film, which still has no release date. In the film, Franco will not only direct but also star as Vikar, a movie-obsessed man who also has a knack for editing films, according to the Los Angeles Times.
On her part, Megan Fox's "Zeroville" appearance will be the role of the leading lady, the femme fatale character Soledad. In the meantime, Franco's best pal and often collaborator Seth Rogen will be playing the role of the Viking Man, an "eccentric, cigar-chomping, surf-hippy," who is some sort of counselor to Franco's character, according to NME.
Megan Fox's "Zeroville" character, as the rest of the film, will be set in Los Angeles of the late 60s to early 70s, in a movie-obsessed world that works well with the personality and ambitions of director/star Franco, who's been known to cover every aspect of filmmaking plus a few more: besides acting, he's ventured into directing, screenwriting, editing, producing, art design and cinematography.
Also, Franco has been known to write fiction in the past, as he's released a collection of short stories called "Palo Alto," plus several other stories released in literary magazines.
Besides Megan Fox, "Zeroville" will feature the talents of Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Will Ferrell, Jacki Weaver and Horatio Sanz.
Earlier this year, Fox was the human face behind "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," one of the summer's big hits, which debuted at $65.5 million domestic on opening weekend and it was the fourth highest-grossing August film, also gathering $375 million worldwide.
