Apple Pay Double Charge- The Cupertino company, Apple faces another system glitch as Apple Pay has been double charging some Bank of America customers on transactions.
Samuel Burke of CNN experienced exactly the same thing when he used the new mobile application of Apple on Monday to make some purchases at Whole Foods and Duane Reade.
The following day, he found out that Apple Pay double charge all his transactions as appearing in his bank statement. There were also some Reddit and Tweeter users who posted the same experience on their account and they were also Bank of America clients.
Burke reported to Bank America to fix the problem and was told that the issue was not that their fault, but Apple's. Following another call to Apple this time, Burke was told that "nothing they could do about it."
The Apple Pay Double Charge issue was finally resolved when Burke had the two sides join in a three-way-call. Bank of America refunded all the double charges, but remained constant on their statement that Apple Pay caused the problem.
"We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to correct the issue. All customers have been made whole," Tara Burke, a spokeswoman for Bank of America stated. "We are always here for our customers and resolve any issues they have."
Meanwhile, the Cupertino giant company is still not responding on the Apple Pay Double Charge incident. The Bank of America reminded Apple users to call Apple customer service for any inquiry about the issue.
Apple Pay Double Charge issue was finally addressed by an Apple spokesperson to HuffPost in an emailed statement, "We're aware of a Bank of America issue impacting a very small number of Apple Pay users. They're working on a fix that will be available shortly and reversing any duplicate transactions."
