Nina Pham’s Boyfriend Feared to Have Contracted Ebola

Nina Pham, the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital nurse who attended Thomas Eric Duncan and was diagnosed with Ebola this week is feared to have spread the deadly virus to her boyfriend, according to reports.

Rumors allegedly came out that Pham's boyfriend was secretly admitted to a Texas hospital following 'Ebola-like' symptoms occurred. However, there is no official confirmation yet.

Pham, 26, was a volunteered nurse to Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan, who passed away on Oct. 8 when she contracted the deadly disease. Immediately after she was diagnosed with Ebola on Sunday, Oct. 12 she became the first person to contract the disease within the US. On Thursday, Oct. 16, she was transferred to Bethesda's National Institutes of Health in Maryland.

Pham's condition turned from good to fair. According to the American Hospital Association scale, Pham's condition, can be read as the 'patient is conscious, but may be uncomfortable.'

"We fully intend to have this patient walk out of this hospital, and we will do everything we possibly can to have that happen," Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease said in an interview with ABC News.

For now, while the nurse is still being treated in Maryland, some reports came out that Pham's boyfriend may have also contracted the fatal disease. Pham's boyfriend is feared to have the same symptoms of Ebola and is now being admitted to a hospital and is under quarantine, reports say.

The second nurse who also volunteered to care for Duncan contracted Ebola. Amber Vinson, 29, has been admitted to Emory University hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, for her treatment at a specialist facility. Based on reports, Vinson was permitted to take the commercial flight to Ohio and return last week even though she already had fever.
