This Viral $10 Kitchen Gadget from Aldi Beats The $100 Name Brand

(Photo : Aldi / Food World News) Aldi’s Crofton Cutting Board is a masterful dupe of TidyBoard’s $100 meal prep option.

I'll be honest - I absolutely loathe meal prepping. Don't get me wrong - the outcome is awesome. Lots of healthy food at the ready to keep good eating habits on track, and I'm not tempted to mainline a bag of Tostitos Hint of Lime (the best!) in a moment of weakness. But the actual time it takes to prep - uggggh. I'd rather jam a pencil in my ear.

That said, I'll take any suggestions on how to make it easier, and the internet is ablaze with a $10 Aldi dupe of the $100 wildly hyped TidyBoard. For those not in the know, the TidyBoard is marketed as "the ultimate food prep system," which promises to organize, simplify, and streamline meal prep. Its Base Pack comes with one acacia cutting board, two small containers, and a large container (all with lids) that help you chop, prep, and store your way to an easier meal prep experience.

Aldi's Crofton Cutting Board Contains Chaos in the Kitchen

Aldi's Crofton Cutting Board is an FSC-certified bamboo cutting board combined with a convenient meal prep station. The cutting board measures 16.5 x 11 and comes with four removable, dishwasher-safe black or multi-colored trays to corral your culinary creations. Did I mention that it's $10?? This one doesn't come with lids, but I've got so many storage containers that saving $80 seems like a far better purchasing option and a no-brainer to me. To maintain the quality of the cutting board, Aldi suggests handwashing and an occasional quick rub with vegetable oil, and you're good to go.

Summer Deals at ALDI

Aldi really does have some of the best - and coolest - dupes to make your life a little easier with a lot less money, especially when prices seem to be rising everywhere around us. This summer, ALDI is actually lashing prices on their summer staples, making it easier to stock up on picnic essentials, BBQ must-haves, portable snacks, and healthy options.

Dave Rinaldo, president at ALDI U.S. says, "ALDI is always looking for ways to help customers save money, but with inflation concerns rising, we knew it was time to deliver even steeper discounts on our already low prices. We want everyone to be able to enjoy summer gatherings and outdoor adventures without breaking the bank on food."

Check out this list of items you can use to save money all summer long at ALDI. In the meantime, my thoughts are doubtful as to whether the handy dandy Crofton Cutting Board will actually make me enjoy meal prep (a girl can dream). I do, however, think it might make it a little less complicated - and I'll take whatever I can get!
