An El Pollo Loco Employee became the subject of influencer Prop God's cash give-away pranks. He was offered a lot of money to ditch his job on the spot. Let's see what he did and what UFC CEO Dana White had to say about it.
The socials are buzzing about one food worker's good deed that showed heart in the face of cold, hard cash money. It unfolded at an El Pollo Loco drive-thru, where a fast-food worker faced a decision that most of us would think was a no-brainer. A social media creator offered the employee a life-changing sum of money to quit his job on the spot...but he didn't take it. We kid you not. To make it all even wilder, the buzz led to the involvement of UFC CEO Dana White. Don't worry, no one got put in a chokehold, but you'll never believe what resulted.
Social media prankster "Prop God" who has a penchant for offering people piles of cash, waltzed up to an El Pollo Loco drive-thru and dangled a massive grip of moolah in front of one unsuspecting employee: $100,000 to ditch his apron and walk away, right there and then. Most of us would probably picture ourselves chilling on a beach with a Mai Tai after hearing this proposition. We'd cue up some Johnny Paycheck and tell our bosses to take their jobs and shove 'em. But the guy was barely moved. He cooly replied, "Nah, I gotta stick with my crew. Three of us here today, wouldn't be right to leave them hangin'." This dude's loyalty wasn't shaken in the least! Even when Prop God threw out the idea of sharing the wealth with his co-workers, this fast food-service hero just couldn't shake the feeling it wouldn't be right. Now give us a second while we pick our jaw up off the floor.
The netizens, as they do, went absolutely bonkers over this display of epic integrity. The clip eventually landed in front of current UFC CEO Dana White, who, it seems, has a soft spot for good guys who don't buckle under a monetary submission hold. White took to Instagram, showering the El Pollo Loco employee with praise for his integrity and calling him a "good human." But White didn't stop there. He decided to up the ante, gifting the employee a cool $15,000 for being, in White's own words, "a bad ass solid human." I mean, it's not $100K, and if the guy had actually taken the initial deal he AND his boys would have walked away with a year's paycheck, but hey there is something to be said for work ethic in a world where everyone thinks the road to riches lies in being an influencer so chew on that Mr. Prop God!
El Pollo Loco chimed in, declaring the employee the fella "employee of the decade." Which is grand but c'mon folks, give this guy a promotion at the very least. So next time you're faced with a tough choice, remember the El Pollo Loco legend - loyalty and integrity might be the secret sauce to a satisfying outcome - or you could just take the freaking money! So what would you do if offered $100K to quit your job?
