NFL champion quarterback Patrick Mahomes has tag-teamed with a beverage industry veteran to launch Throne Sport Coffee, a line of better-for-you ready-to-drink beverages.

Coffee Touchdown

Patrick Mahomes has led the Kansas City Chiefs to three Super Bowl championships, cementing his place among the NFL's elite, but he's also a burgeoning food and drink entrepreneur. The star player is now claiming another title - king of better-for-you coffee. According to Sportico, Mahomes has partnered with beverage industry veteran Michael Fedele to launch Throne Sport Coffee. The canned cold coffee line blends coffee with functional ingredients like B vitamins and electrolytes, aiming to provide a low-sugar caffeine boost for active adults and athletes.

Clean Energy for Champs

Fedele, who previously served in executive marketing roles at brands like BodyArmor saw an opportunity to establish coffee as an athletic beverage of choice. When asked about the launch, he said, "Coffee is what health-minded, active people consume for energy. Yet so many RTD coffees are high in calories, loaded with sugar and artificial ingredients." And he isn't wrong. Coffee in moderation does have some great health benefits, but most Americans like their coffee sweet and full of flavors. The pair has addressed both needs in this innovative new take on your morning joe. "We've been working on creating the perfect beverage for those always on the go, looking for a natural energy source with added benefits," said Mahomes.

The Throne Room

Mahomes was heavily involved in creating Throne's four flavors: Mocha Java, Salted Caramel, French Vanilla, and Black. He's also been hitting the road to pitch the product to major retailers. With a superstar quarterback backing and Fedele's industry chops, Throne Sport Coffee is aiming to be the ultimate power-up for active consumers. If Mahomes' success on the field is any indicator, Throne could be headed for an end-zone victory dance.
