Baron Spices, Inc. is recalling over 700 units of their Blues Hog Sweet and Savory Seasoning due to the potential presence of undeclared soy and wheat allergens sold in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Delaware. The undeclared ingredients could pose a serious health risk for people with allergies to soy and wheat.

What products are recalled?

Blues Hog Sweet and Savory Seasoning in 6.25-ounce plastic bottles with lot numbers: 034-363 and 034-364 are being recalled. 

Where were the products sold?

The products were distributed through Giant Food Stores in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Delaware

Why are the products recalled?

The recall stems from a supplier sending Baron Spices a replacement ingredient that contained soy and wheat but the allergens were not declared on the final product label.

What is the risk?

People with a soy or wheat allergy could experience a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled seasoning.

What should you do?

Check your pantry for Blues Hog Sweet and Savory Seasoning with lot numbers 034-363 and 034-364. If you have the recalled product and have a soy or wheat allergy, do not consume it.
