UK's Channel 4 has launched the next season of The Great Celebrity Bake Off. Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith return alongside hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond with a great new cast, including our favorite Spice Girl!
Get ready for some laughs and burnt buns! The Sun reports that the lineup for the new season of UK's Great Celebrity Bake Off has been unveiled, with Channel 4 bringing a star-studded cast to the baking competition. Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will be back to critique the culinary creations, while presenters Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond return to keep things light.
We're stoked to announce one of the celebrity bakers this year will be no other than Mel B, AKA Scary Spice of the '90s pop act The Spice Girls. We never saw what was so scary about Mel (I mean, they could have gone with Saucy Spice, Savory Spice, etc.), but whatever the case, we are overjoyed that she will join the cast to bring some Zig A Zig Ah to the season!
This season is bursting with cream of the British celebrity community, featuring actors like Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who) and Danny Dyer (EastEnders), alongside comedians Adam Hills (The Last Leg), Fern Brady (Taskmaster), Leigh Francis (Keith Lemon) and Munya Chawawa. Singer Paloma Faith will also be making her TV baking debut alongside reality star Spencer Matthews (Made in Chelsea). Finally, there's a rumor that Prue Leith might be taking a break after this season, with Nigella Lawson possibly stepping in as a judge for the next one!
The season kicked off on March 17th and will raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. Unlike the regular Bake Off, there's no overall champion - each week a "Star Baker" will be crowned.
