Distributed: Nationwide
The dates: Sold in stores from September 2023 to January 2024
How to identify it: Look for production code X0419, UPC number 10041224701509, and a best-by date of October 19, 2024.
This recall happened after routine testing found the product might have Salmonella. There haven't been any reported illnesses yet.
Salmonella can cause fever, cramps, and diarrhea, lasting up to a week. Usually, Salmonella won't land you in the hospital, but some cases get pretty nasty. If you've been eating this tahini and have any of the above symptoms, definitely call your doctor right away.
