Edward Snowden’s Girlfriend Lives With Him In Moscow, New Documentary Citizenfour Shows: Snowden’s Exile Life Is No Hell [VIDEO]

The new documentary Citizenfour reveals many interesting facts about the life of the world's most famous whistleblower: among them, that Edward Snowden's girlfriend is actually living with him in his Russian residence. According to the new documentary, which was premiered last Friday in the New York Film Festival, Edward Snowden's girlfriend, Lindsay Mills, lives with him in exile, contrary to popular belief that he had left her months ago.

The new documentary, directed by award-winning reporter Laura Poltras, covers the whistleblower's NSA spying case, along with his life after the scandal - including his current living situation, featuring Edward Snowden's girlfriend Lindsay. Ever since June 2013, Snowden has been living in Russia, where he was just approved a second year of asylum - before moving to Moscow, Snowden remained in legal limbo as several countries offered him asylum, among them the Latin American nations of Bolivia, Venezuela and Nicaragua.

Edward Snowden's girlfriend Lindsay hasn't been living with him since the start of his exile, but they have been sharing a common house "some time now," according to TIME Magazine. The magazine goes on to talk about how the fact that Edward Snowden's girlfriend is living with the former NSA operative destroys the public opinion that has been created around him, that he was leading a miserable life abroad in exile.

Glenn Greenwald, the journalist who helped publish Snowden's revelations, wrote: "The fact that he is now living in domestic bliss as well, with his long-term girlfriend whom he loves, should forever put to rest the absurd campaign to depict his life as grim and dank."

Edward Snowden's girlfriend, Lindsay Mills, is a ballerina, and the couple has been together for 10 years. Snowden and Mills lived together in Hawaii when he was stationed there as an NSA contractor, the job that eventually led to his well-publicized whistle blowing.

Although the computer engineer is private about his personal life, Edward Snowden's girlfriend can still be seen in the newly released documentary Citizenfour, the trailer of which you can watch below.
