Barry Watson's 2014 turns grim, as the woman who played his 7th Heaven wife, Sarah Goldberg, has died at the young age of 40. The actress, who went professionally by the name of Sarah Danielle Madison, died on September 27, "peacefully in her sleep of natural causes", according to a statement released by the actress' family.
This is the second awful news Barry Watson's 2014 has seen in just a few weeks, after the scandal surrounding his TV dad Stephen Collins, who had a tape leaked in which he allegedly confessed to having sexually molested three young girls over the course of years. Barry Watson's 2014 has been full of shocks - but it's not only him, but rather the entire cast of the show about a pastor's life and family.
Following the news of Goldberg's death, Barry Watson's 2014 Twitter feed added a thought of love to his former co-star, as he posted on the social network: "#RIP Sarah. I will always miss you. Love ya! B." The tweet happened on Oct. 7, following the news that Sarah, who played Sarah Glass Camden in the show, had passed away.
Sarah was only 40 at the time of her death. She was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois, where she led a quiet life (even graduating in Microbiology in Amherst College in Chicago) until she decided to make her dreams come true and pursue a career in acting; so, after graduating, she moved to Hollywood. She appeared in many TV shows besides 7th Heaven, like CSI, Judging Amy and Without a Trace. She was also featured in films, like Jurassic Park III, Training Day and My Best Friend's Wedding.
Goldberg's last role on television was in the remake of Beverly Hills 90210, only called 90210, where she starred from 2009 until 2011.
Barry Watson's 2014 farewell isn't enough to express the love he and their 7th Heaven co-stars had for the actress, who passed away at her family's cabin in Wisconsin.
