NBA Star Tony Parker Puts French Food to American Streets: San Antonio Spurs PG Welcomes Foodies

It's about time for Tony Parker to open a business related to where he came from. The San Antonio Spurs star steps out of the game and debuts his first French food truck. Teaming up with a personal chef, Cliff Chetwood, Parker's street is all about French's kitchen - a heritage he grew up with.

Crème de la Crème offers steak Frites, salade chevre chaud, escalope de veau and many others. San Antonio Business Journal reported that the menus are inspired by the chef's travel journey to France. The food truck is commonly associated with street food and this breakthrough is quite unusual.

Quoted from USA Today, the four-time NBA champion praises Chef Cliff for his fantastic menu he's been cooking for his family since 2011. Parker said in his press release, that the French Heritage is part of his life and he wants to the culinary to San Antonio people.

This is not the first business venture of the six-time NBA All-Star. Parker has his own fashion line, Wap Two, and is an executive producer of 'The Birth of a Nation'. This new rookie food truck happens to be a confirmation since many of NBA Players have launched food-related businesses. To name some, Glen Davis, Hines Ward and Dwyane Wade have entered the culinary industry earlier - owning a cooking channel, a restaurant and a brand of wine.

Crème de la Crème grand opening is on March 18 with three operational hours: 5 to 10 pm on Thursdays; 3 to 10 pm on Fridays; noon to 10 pm on Saturdays. The food truck is set to make a scene in San Antonio as a fresh option that stands side by side with barbecued gourmets and tacos.
