Red Bull Wings Are Not Real: $13 Million Dollars For The ‘Fraud’

Red Bull - There is a very famous quote that says, "lies have short legs." But can a slogan be considered a lie? They are made after all to be catchy and sell a product. They don't necessarily stand to be an absolute truth. A consumer of Red Bull doesn't agree with that and filed a law suit at the Energy Drink Company.

Red Bull's worldwide known slogan is "Red Bull gives you wings." You've probably heard it before, as most people have. But one thing that wasn't expected was a class law suit to be started against Red Bull because the slogan apparently didn't live up to the expectations of many.

According to Bevnet, the plaintiff representative, Brendan Careathers has said about Red Bull, "Such deceptive conduct and practices mean that (Red Bull's) advertising and marketing is not just 'puffery,' but is instead deceptive and fraudulent and is therefore actionable." This was part of what the lawsuit stands for.

Apparently, Brendan has been drinking Red Bull since 2002 and there were no changes in his performance, speed, and energy, which are some of the main values that Red Bull promotes.

Red Bull doesn't agree of any wrongdoing but still, they voluntarily agreed to get a settlement and therefore, they have stated that they will be giving $13 million dollars to consumers, and divided in such a way that all the people who have consumed Red Bull since 2002 can ask for $10 dollars in goods.

Later on, BuzzFeed shared some links, including the claim where anyone can get in and ask for their share. Apparently, any person can ask for it until March 2015.

The settlement, though, depends on a hearing that will happen on May 1st 2015 and if successful for the plaintiffs, then Red Bull will go ahead and give out the goods 150 days later.
