DICE Working On New Game 'Battlefield 5'

DICE, the game developer which successfully launched the latest "Star Wars Battlefront" is now shifting to 'Battlefield 5.'

After releasing Star Wars Battlefront to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, the Swedish video game developer is now ready for a new project. Just last week, DICE has confirmed that they are now working on a new Battlefield entry.

On his Twitter account, Dan Vanderlind confirmed the rumors concerning the development of Battlefield 5 by DICE.

"Now that we've shipped Battlefront and a part of the team continues to work on it, I am moving on to another project, the next Battlefield," written by the development director.

This means that even though the game developer is now shifting to the development of a new Battlefield franchise, some members of the team will still continue to work on the Star Wars Battlefront especially in the field of online support and post-release content.

The the first announcement concerning the new Battlefield franchise was introduced last October of 2014. A year earlier, DICE Producer Patrick Bach provided a teaser for the project stating that it will have more features in gameplay and extras. As what EA had affirmed, the new platform will return to its military-style origin.

The rumor concerning the game was again rekindled last week after a Reddit user discovered a noteworthy IMDB listing which suggested that a latest video game named 'Battlefield 5: Armageddon' will be made.

It can be remembered that the previous Battlefield franchise did not have an astounding start. In the launching of Battlefield 4 last 2013, the video game was overwhelmed by several bugs and glitches. Fortunately, the said issues were fixed which then made the game popular again two years after the initial launching.

Official statements concerning the full gameplay of Battlefield 5 are not yet revealed.
