The Neelys Divorce Citing Irreconcilable Differences

The Neelys are calling it quits on their 20 year marriage. The Neelys, a cooking couple that made it big with their cooking show, Down Home with the Neelys, are divorcing citing irreconcilable differences.

The Food Network cooking show hosts have mutually decided to call it quits on their marriage. Very sad news for a couple that was the bubbliest and lively couple on television. The two kept audiences alive throughout their show with their witty human and genuine love for each other. This will be no more as Gina Neely filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

In a press statement, the two announced their divorce, stating that it was a tough decision to make but they believed the decision was the best for both of them. Each of them has expressed their desire to move forward with their lives despite the public divorce. "Moving forward our focus will be on our individual brands and we are optimistic about our respective futures," they continued in their statement.

The two dated in High School and have been together ever since. The two's hit Food Network show Down Home With the Neelys was launched in 2008. Pat launched it with the help of fellow Southern Chef Paula Deen. The show went on to air 79 episodes.

"Together we have built a strong brand as The Neelys," the couple admitted during their statement, but the two are determined to move forward solo. Gina lost 20 lbs doing a weight loss challenge with George Foreman. Pat, who is now 50, is working with My Family Dollar to fight hunger.

The two have two daughters, Shelbi and Spenser, Gina's daughter from another marriage. The two are over eighteen years so no child support.

Though the couple state irreconcilable difference as the reason for their divorce, the two are said to be splitting on good terms and will continue running their NYC barbecue restaurant together.
