Staying Sober and Non Alcoholic Drinks, a Chic Trend

Are you trying to stay sober but still yearn for the taste of alcohol? There might be a way without actually drinking alcohol.

Recently, cocktails have uttered a unique tune for non-alcoholic drinks and it's utterly chic.

A concoction of fermented tea, natural botanicals and alcohol free spirits could trick an alcoholic's taste buds to ditch the rum, beer and brandy.

There are a few places where you can fill your bottoms with spirit free liquids. Take 45 Jermyn Street for example. They can serve up a drink made from rose geranium, quince and house soda. They will serve it to you in a high ball, with dried rose petal garnishings, and sides of citric, tannic and mallic tastes contained in a pipette jar.

The creativity about the drink is unique and healthy at best. The head bartender of the place, Myles Davies, wants everyone to know that "We want to make not drinking fun, yet not stand out and we're getting ever more creative about it."

The virgin drink is a step in the right direction especially in a world that is becoming more focused on health and wellness.

Matt Whiley, owner of East London's Peg and Patriot, is also trying his hand at the new chic trend in his private distillery in producing alcohol-free gin. How does that work, you ask? Its base is a water distillate and it is then infused with juniper and other botanicals. It's going to be a sophisticated drink that can be offered to drinkers and non-drinkers alike.

Over at Stovell's, Geyin Surendran uses a rotary evaporator to produce non-alcoholic aged rum. The liquid is then drawn into a heated bath that evaporates the alcohol, separating the non-alcoholic concentrate which will then be mixed with pepper, ginger and chili.

These are only few out of the many places in the UK that is shifting to the new route. So a new breed of mixologists and bartenders are paving the way for people trying to be sober because resolving not to drink is a positive step towards healthy living, as reported online.
