Marque Lynche Dead: Former ‘Mickey Mouse Club’ & ‘American Idol’ Star Dies At 34

Marque "Tate" Lynche, a former cast member of "The All New Mickey Mouse Club" alongside Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling, was found dead in his apartment on Sunday, December 6.

According to The Wrap, Lynche's roommate found him at the apartment in New York City and he was pronounced dead at 4 p.m. No cause of death has been determined as of yet, but police continue to investigate the death.

Police are currently investigating, and are waiting for the medical examiner's report to determine the cause of death.

"It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to one of our family," a Mickey Mouse Club group called "Always in the Club" tells E! News in a statement.

"Our 'Always In The Club' brother, Marque Tate Lynche, passed away this weekend. We are absolutely devastated by this tragic news.

After news of Lynche death broke, several former co-stars took to social media to share their memories and condolences.

American Crime Story actor Dale Godboldo, who appeared alongside Lynche on MMC, wrote on Facebook, "I spoke with Marque a few months ago, and his spirit was as beautiful as ever.

Love and prayers to your family. RIP my man. You will be missed."

Marque "Tate" Lynche was a Mousketeer from 1993 to 1995. Lynche went on to compete on Fox’s “American Idol” and was one of the 32 finalists on Season 3, which Fantasia Barrino went on to win.

Marque later took a break from the TV and musical industry to heal from the loss of his mother and focus his view on the recording industry by working with a record to release his own album.

Marque Syl Lynche was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, Lynche is the older brother of Season 9 top four finalist Michael "Big Mike" Lynche.

After his duty on Idol, he appeared on Broadway as Simba in The Lion King and as Tyrone in a stage production of Fame On 42nd Street in 2004.
