Hope Solo Speaks Out About Private Photo Leak: ‘Beyond The Bounds of Human Decency’, Team USA Goalie Says

The goalie for the United States' women's soccer team, Hope Solo, has released a statement through her Facebook account regarding the recent leak of her private nude photos to the public; Hope Solo also talked about her recent assault case, in which the Olympic medalist is accused of domestic violence on her sister and 17 year-old nephew.

Hope Solo, who is the goalkeeper in the Seattle Reign soccer club and plays the same position in the United States' national women's soccer team, was one of the many victims of the recent celebrity nude photo leaks, along with actress Jennifer Lawrence and singer Rihanna. On Tuesday night, the athlete addressed the issue of her privacy violation on the official Hope Solo Facebook page, as she made the following statement: "This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency and, as such, I stand united with all the women affected and am exploring every option to protect my privacy."

The soccer star also referred to her recent problems with US law, as she was arrested over the summer after it appeared she attacked her sister along with her 17 year-old nephew; she is currently waiting for trial in a case of domestic violence because of this very incident. On the subject, she stated she was innocent of the charges, though she wished to keep the matter low key; later, she added, "Once all the facts come to light and the legal process is concluded, I am confident that I will be fully exonerated."

Hope Solo's leaked pictures, among others that were released over the past weekend, are actually the second wave of hacked pictures in the last month; back in August, a first wave was released with the promise of more to come. The hacked pictures are reported to come from many celebrities' iCloud accounts, where the pictures would have been recovered after hackers tried over and over to get the passwords, until finally achieving it.
