Kendall Jenner Gigi Hadid: Tyra Banks Says ‘America’s Next Top Model’ Opened Doors For New Victoria’s Secret Models, And Her Logic’s Surprisingly Pretty Solid

For 13 years and 22 seasons (or "cycles," as they were referred to), Tyra Banks' "America's Next Top Model" gave the world a sneak peek into how to build the career and figure of a model, and Banks is pretty convinced that two of the hottest young women in the industry right now, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, partially owe their careers to her show.

Of course, neither Kendall Jenner nor Gigi Hadid ever appeared on "ANTM," but they've certainly been in front of cameras for a better part of their lives due to their family's reality shows appearances, with Jenner growing up on "Keeping up with the Kardashians" and Hadid on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" - and that's why Banks says they partially owe their success to her.

Banks recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss the end of "ANTM" after almost 15 years on air, and she gushed about the reality competition show as well as how it had influenced the world of fashion, including the careers of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.

"I think it has opened up the world to accepting reality television stars as models," started Tyra, via The Mirror, then going on to speak about Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid's careers. "If you think about Kendall and Kylie - people think Kylie's not a model, but I think she's a model - and Gigi and all of these girls from reality television, I think Top Model knocked the doors down for that to be okay in the high fashion world."

It's impossible to see whether or not that's true, but it's certainly a point to consider, even though, as Celebuzz reports, both Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid (particularly Kim Kardashian's little sister) have spoken on numerous occasions about their reality-famous families, saying they want to be their own people - and in that, they've certainly succeeded!
