On Saturday, the former Disney star Thornton, took to social media and posted an emotional message which she accompanied with their family photo.
"He was THE BEST father my children could ever have, an incredibly loving and sensitive husband, a wonderful brother and amazing son," Tiffany wrote. "He is already so dearly missed but I promise to spend the rest of my life sharing his testimony so that those who feel they have no place or have come from a place of struggle can learn that the love of the Lord can save us all."
Thornton also took the time to thank their fans and friends for the outpouring support and prayers as her family grieved the loss of her "best friend Chris." Adding, "the most incredible person I've ever had the blessing of knowing."
Chris, who is the father of Tiffany's children Kenneth James, 3 year old and Bentley Cash, 21 months, was pronounced dead at the scene on U.S. Highway 70 East in Arkansas after their car drifted off the road and hit a tree, as per ET. His friend, Ezekiel Blanton, who was the driver of the vehicle was also killed during the car crash.
According to TMZ, the former MTV star, Carney and the driver of the car Blanton were drinking alcoholic beverages before the tragic incident. Chris was reportedly drinking beer until he moved up to hard liquors, including "Fireball Whiskey and doing Vegas Bombs" to the "point he couldn't stand up" anymore. He was reportedly so drunk that he was considered to be "in no position to judge" the driver's sobriety.
Tiffany and Chris exchanged vows in 2011. They reportedly separated but reconciled and lived together under the roof of a relative.
