Carrie Fisher 2015: ‘Star Wars’ Actress Advises Parents To Say She Killed Jabba Because She Hated Slave Princess Leia Outfit

For years, the actress who incarnated Princess Leia in the first "Star Wars" trilogy, Hollywood royalty Carrie Fisher, has spoken time and again about her dislike for the slave outfit she had to wear at the beginning of "Return to the Jedi," and as it grows more and more controversial, Carrie Fisher's 2015 response to its themed merchandise is pure gold.

In the past few months, as there is "Star Wars" themed merchandise everywhere you look and all over the world ahead of the premiere of "Episode VII: The Force Awakens," Carrie Fisher in 2015 was asked what she thought about the continuous production of Slave Leia merch, and she has some truly kickass advise for parents.

According to Cinema Blend, the iconic sci-fi actress (who's also a respected screenwriter in Hollywood as well as a director) is currently on a press tour to promote the upcoming film, and Carrie Fisher's 2015 responses in interviews have been nothing short of hilarious, particularly when speaking about the Slave Leia outfit.

In a recent Carrie Fisher 2015 interview on The Wall Street Journal, the 59 year-old actress was asked what she thought of the controversy, saying it was "stupid" to pull out the Slave Leia merchandise.

"The father who flipped out about it, 'What am I going to tell my kid about why she's in that outfit?' Tell them that a giant slug captured me and forced me to wear that stupid outfit, and then I killed him because I didn't like it. And then I took it off. Backstage," went Carrie Fisher's 2015 response, making fans all over the world laugh at her candidness.

The controversy has been growing for the past few years, as the outfit, which has turned into one of the most iconic in the world and a longtime fetish, is said to promote slavery or assaults to women - and, as the Irish Independent reports, Disney is now reportedly phasing out any future merchandise depicting it.

In any case, Princess Leia herself has no problem with the depiction, as Carrie Fisher's 2015 comments make clear!
