HTC received record-breaking sales on previous weeks' Black Friday and Cyber Monday events due to their phone trade-in offers. Because of this, the company has decided to extend the said offer until January 7, 2016.
Among the hordes of positive feedback was the Apple - HTC One A9 swap, which, according to HTC, helped their year-over-year sales skyrocket by up to 731% during the holidays.
According to Android Central, the One A9 had become the hottest item among the trade-in offers, since more than 10 percent of those who reportedly grabbed the smartphone were iPhone users.
So how does it work?
It's simple, as noted by Android Authority.
For iPhone 6, 6 Plus, iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus owners, simply head for any HTC retail store and trade in the handset for the HTC One A9 - absolutely FREE of charge!
The trade-in value for the aforementioned devices is $499, therefore an even swap is allowed for iPhone owners.
Meanwhile, other devices that qualify for the trade-in include some Samsung and LG models.
For Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge owners, HTC reportedly offers a $200 credit, therefore in exchange for HTC One A9, it will cost $299
Meanwhile, for LG G3 or LG G4 owners, there is a $100 trade-in credit.
All HTC One A9 trade-in offers for iPhone, Samsung and LG users all sound reasonable. However, it would seem that the company is drawing more towards iPhone 6 owners, probably in the hopes of converting iPhone loyalists to HTC lovers.
If you own any of the devices above and swapping Androids sounds good to you, then the HTC One A9 is your best bet in getting a new phone.
The 5-inch HTC One A9 is the company's latest release in November. It has a 13 MP camera and works on a Snapdragon 617 with 3GB of RAM, and a battery of 2150 mAh.
