Kylie Jenner has opened up about how fame has impacted on her life, admitting that growing up in the spotlight has worsened her anxiety issues and that she's probably lost part pf herself because of it.
The 18-year-old star of Keeping Up With the Kardashians has fortune, fame, a beautiful house and a successful make-up line. Yet, behind all her success, Kylie is an ordinary teenager, one that struggles every day to not break down in a nervous wreck, she revealed in a story with Interview.
“I wake up every morning with the worst anxiety. I don’t know why,” Kylie said during her conversation in the December/January double issue of INTERVIEW magazine. When asked what could possibly worry Kylie so badly, she revealed that she’s afraid of what people say about her.
Kylie revealed that it's been a total nightmare navigating her teenage years with every national media outlet and Twitter troll piping up about her decisions.
In an ideal world, Jenner told Interview, “I would probably just never dress up. I would never wear makeup, because I honestly hate wearing makeup. Lately, I’ve just been so over it. I feel like I’m way too young to wear such heavy makeup all the time. It’s just bad for your skin, but I’m always doing photo shoots or red carpets and events, so I just obviously want to look good.”
Kylie admitted she has been bullied since she was 9-years-old during a personal video in June. She showed her support for Anti-Bullying day with a distinctive fashion choice, and she openly admired anti-bully activity Lizzie Velasquez before admitting her own bullies make her breakdown and cry.
As crushing as Kylie Jenner’s fame sounds, by addressing her anxiety she’s signaling to her legion of followers that anxiety isn’t something to hide or be ashamed of.
