Does Bra Cause Cancer? – Research Study Of Over 1,500 Women Reveals True Facts About The Garment

Does Bra Cause Cancer? : A research was performed and published yesterday, September 5th, about the recurring subject that most women get worried about: breast cancer and how to prevent it; and more importantly, the bra usage as a possible cause.

Does bra cause cancer? Has been a question made by most women and continues being so today. Breast cancer has always been prolific between women who go over menopause, and are on the ages of 50 to older. It can also be caused by several factors, and several of them are still undetermined. The truth is that it is one disease that hasn't been fully understood yet.

But this question does arise too many times: Does bra cause cancer? And, why would they mention the bra? Well, simple reason. A woman wears a bra ever since her breasts are in growth and then to maintain their shape, to the end of times; or the death of said person. This means that from the ages of fourteen, more or less, to 80 or more. Those are a lot of years and it is natural that women will think of the bra as a cause of cancer.

We decided to make the same question, does bra cause cancer? And after research, the answer is the following. There was a study made by the Cancer Research Center in Seattle, which determines that "no evidence was found about bras causing breast cancer," Fred Hutchinson, a researcher, said.

In 2005, a book called Dressed to Kill took over this subject and said that doctors have been avoiding the link between cancer and bras but that they took over and analyzed how really it IS connected.

Now, in 2014, they take over the "Do bras cause cancer?" Controversial question and perform a thorough research over 1,500 women who are post-menopausal and range from the years of 55 to 74. A thousand of them had Breast Cancer and five hundred didn't.

All of them were addressed with questions about bras used during their lifetime and they found no link whatsoever. The answers were too different and no type of bra seemed to be responsible for anything. The study was published in Cancer Epidermiology, Biomarkers and Prevention journal.

So, do bras cause cancer? We can definitely say that they do not and the daily use of it can continue.
