If you were one of those people who thought that maybe Mary-Kate Olsen and AshleyOlsen would cave and say "you got it dude" to everyone and if you're still clinging onto hope that we'll see them stop by Full House's sequel series,Fuller House, well you better cut it out.
Lori Loughlin, Aunt Becky on the sitcoms, told The Huffington Post filming on Fuller House has wrapped and the Olsens "didn't come in," as many suspected would be the case.
When it was announced that Fuller House, which stars Candace Cameron Bure,Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, was in the works with a reunion of the original cast planned, all eyes went to the Olsen twins. The fashion moguls said they hadn't heard about the project and after some back and forth with John Stamos (Uncle Jesse on the shows and an executive producer on the new series), a firm statement was made by producers.
"Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family," executive producer Robert L. Boyett said in a May 2015 statement about Mary-Kate and Ashley's absence from the series. "It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House."
But then in July, Netflix's Ted Sarandos seemed to hint the Olsen twins could be swayed. "The Olsen twins are teetering on whether or not they'll be around," Sarandos told reporters during the 2015 Summer TCA press tour. "We've been able to reassemble all of the cast." The cast includes Louglin, Stamos, Barber, Cameron Bure, Sweetin, Bob Saget,Scott Weinger, Dave Coulier, and Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit.
Stamos basically confirmed viewers wouldn't get a glimpse at Michelle Tanner in the new series during a round of press. "I called them up, asked them to do it. They're onto a different phase of their lives, they haven't acted in a long time, but everything is super sweet between us,"Stamos said on Watch What Happens Live in early October.
As for future episodes? Don't hold your breath. "No, I don't think they're going to make a cameo. They didn't this season," Loughlin told HuffPost.
Fuller House is set to premiere on Netflix in 2016.
