McDonald's Unveils 48-Piece Chicken McNugget Bucket

McDonald's is celebrating the holidays with loads of surprises on their Christmas menu.

This December, McDonald's Japan will launch a huge bucket of Chicken McNuggets containing 48 pieces of the well-loved chicken meal. This will be the second biggest McNugget bucket ever sold in any McDonald's location, right next to McDonald's US' 50-piece Super Bowl limited edition.

For about $15 each bucket (1,800 Yen), the monstrous meal includes a commemorative card featuring one of the 25 members of the Japanese pop group NGT48. Commonly called "Nugget 48", the famous group tied up with the fast-food chain to promote the band.

Collect all 25 cards and you get to eat about 1,200 chicken nuggets!

As for its "nutritional content," a 48-piece bucket is loaded with 2,256 calories and over 150 grams of fat --- both way more than the recommended daily intake. This means you just have to share your nugget bucket with the rest of the group.

In the UK, McDonald's just released a new set of holiday meals for its Christmas menu.

From 10:30 AM, you can now enjoy feasting on the all-new McDonald's Spicy Chicken Winter Melt, Cheese Melt Dippers, Galaxy Caramel McFlurry, Festive Pie and Festive Feast.

The McDonald's Festive Feast with Sweetcure Bacon and Cheese is "100% British and Irish beef burger" with sweet cure bacon rashers, red onion rings and black pepper cheese slices, topped with Batavia lettuce and creamy black pepper mayo.

If you prefer chicken over beef, then try the new Spicy Chicken Winter Melt sandwich --- filled with "spicy fire-roasted pepper sauce, silvered onions, cool mayo and Battavia lettuce in a toasted sesame seed topped bun."

For side orders, get the Cheese Melt Dippers which includes four breaded camembert cheese pieces with a Festive tomato dip.

Dessert? Munch on the hot crispy Festive Pie filled with mincemeat and custard or try the new Galaxy Caramel McFlurry with real Galaxy milk chocolate bits.

Happy holidays!
