Chris Hemsworth loses 15kgs for the Movie 'In The Heart of The Sea'

Australian actor Chris Hemsworth was the center of talks as he posted his shirtless selfie picture on his social media account on Sunday.

In the photo posted on his twitter, Chris was transformed from a very handsome guy into a dirt starving sailor.

The 32-year-old actor said that in order for him to achieve that body and figure, he needed to lose atleast 15 kilograms of his weight.

He plays Owen Chase in the movie In the Heart of the Sea, who was written by Moby Dick.

The former sexiest man alive told the report that he was playing the character of a starving sailor man, who was stranded in the middle of the sea for 90 days with the crew of the ship because their ship was destructed by a killer whale.

He also told the press that he was very thankful and blessed because of the movie. He personally asked some advice from Tom Hanks on how he will prepare for the said role.

Chris Hemsworth compared himself with his previous movie Avengers which he played the character of Thor.

He shared to the media that he had not eaten anything on set and that he made himself starve. Some of the crew and characters of the movie starved themselves in order for their role to be more suited to what they are trying to portray.

He added that it will be more effective if he will not eat for how many days.

The movie is about the sinking of the American whaling ship Essex in the year 1820.

Benjamin Walker is set to play as the Captain of the ship George Polland Jr.

The movie is said to be originally released on March 13, 2015 but it was later moved to another schedule and it is set to be premiered on December 11, 2015.
