Obama on Ferguson Shooting Incident: Update

U. S. President Obama continue to closely monitor the update regarding the shooting incident in Ferguson, Missouri on August 16 Saturday involving the 18 year old Michael Brown who was allegedly shot six times by the recently named police officer, Darren Wilson. Brown was also involved in a stealing incident in a department store where a video showed Brown stealing a packet of cigars and shoving an employee.

Obama   expressed his disturbance in his speech on Thursday on the images of police officers and the civilians seen protesting in Ferguson. Obama also tasked the FBI and the Department of Justice to investigate independently the details surrounding death of Michael Brown. The Department of Justice is also consulting with local authorities about ways that they can maintain public safety without restricting the rights of peaceful protest.

Just this Monday, President Obama spoke at the White House regarding the meeting of Attorney General Eric Holder with the persecutors and community leaders at Ferguson. Although Obama didn't elaborate much on the essentials of the case, he did leave an impression among other people regarding his alleged racist remark, 'Part of the ongoing challenge of perfecting our union has involved dealing with communities that feel left behind, in too many communities around this country, young men of color are left behind and seen as objects of fear,' Obama stated.

A study conducted by Pew Research this weekend showed that a racial divide has resulted from this Missouri shooting incident. Pew Research Center tweeted, '65% of blacks say police have gone too far in responding to the Ferguson's shooting's aftermath. Whites are divided.'

Meanwhile, police officers in Missouri who was constantly dealing with the mass protest are resolute that civilians wanting to express their protest peacefully will be allowed but violence will not be tolerated. 'Peaceful protest will be allowed in Ferguson tonight. Looting, however, will not.'
