Rooney Mara on Intimate Scenes with Men and Women: 'It's not really any different"

'The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo' star Rooney Mara are getting used to intimate on-screen scenes. According to the 30-year-old actress, the most essential aspect of an intimate scene on camera is tapping on a certain "connection" between each characters- whether a man or a woman.

Mara, in a report by Xpose'  said that love scenes with men and women are not any different from each other. ''It's not really any different, you're still trying to capture that kind of connection between your characters", the actress said in an interview when asked about what she feels between having both male and female on-screen partner that involves intimate scenes.

Mara also admits having a love scene with actress Cate Blanchett; ''but Kate has very soft skin, as opposed to most men."

The 2013 Academy Award nominee for best actress is confident and comfortable in handling intimate on-screen moments that she forgets she is not wearing anything able to go around walking naked on set because she feels that ones bodies are not something that should be ashamed of. ''Like on 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo', I would be shooting a scene where I'm nude and then afterwards would go over to the monitor and look at it and not even realise that I was naked".

Mara is best known for her character as Lisbeth Salander, the lead in David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, based on Stieg Larsson's Millennium book series. She received critical acclaim for her performance and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for Drama.

She won the Best Actress Award at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival for her role in the film Carol where she had her intimate scene with Blanchett.
