Dunkin Donuts Delivery Finally Gets Trial – Dallas Gets Mobile Ordering On Doughnuts And Coffee!

After Starbucks' biggest competitor in the United States announced it was launching its own delivery system a few months back, finally the Dunkin Donuts delivery is officially being tried out ahead of its bigger launch next year - and the chosen pilot city for the experiment is Dallas, Texas.

The first Dunkin Donuts delivery trial is a fairly small one, as the company teamed up with on-demand delivery service DoorDash (which is currently facing legal action from In-N-Out Burger for offering services from the chain without permission), and only four those near locations in Plano, Frisco, Carrolton and Dallas.

According to The Dallas Morning News, the Dunkin Donuts delivery will be available from 7am to 10 pm in under 45 minutes for a few depending on the location and set by DoorDash, as the very first step of the chain's long-term plan for countrywide delivery begins.

Only those people in a 5-mile radius of stores in the abovementioned areas will be able to use the Dunkin Donuts delivery service in the next few days.

Bloomberg reports that the company's also trying another step in the accessibility, as 124 of their restaurants in Portland, Maine, will be allowing costumers to order ahead of time through an app starting on Wednesday, a service also existing in other companies such as Taco Bell.

"The morning space and the coffee space are incredibly crowded," the company's VP of global consumer engagement, Scott Hudler, told the publication recently. "Speed is one of our brand differentiators."

Star Tribune reports that, after this first phase of the Dunkin Donuts delivery serive, the next few weeks will see an expansion of the service to the cities of Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington; to go through with the process, customers must make their orders through either the DoorDash app or website.

Be sure to try the new Dunkin Donuts delivery service if you're around Dallas!
