It's another loss for Leonardo DiCaprio!
Us Weekly reported that "The Wolf of Wall-Street" actor went home empty handed, after losing out on his fourth acting Academy Award on Sunday. Instead, the award for Best Actor went to actor Matthew McConaughey, for his role as Ron Woodroof in "Dallas Buyer's Club."
DiCaprio took the loss like a professional and congratulated his colleague with a kiss on the cheek and a hug before the actor went on stage to give his acceptance speech.
The actor has three previous nominations for his work in "The Aviator," "Blood Diamond" and "What's Eating Gilbert Grape."
The 39-year-old actor's film resume also includes "Titanic," "Inception," "The Departed," and "Gangs of New York." DiCaprio did win Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his work at the Golden Globes.
DiCaprio may have lost but at least he has Twitter's support. Hashtags like "#PoorLeo" and "GiveLeoAnOscar" trended for hours after the ceremony.
