Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie-goers will be in for another treat as the first official teaser for the much awaited X-Men: Apocalypse will be shown at the screening, NME reports.
The movie's director Bryan Singer confirmed this news himself adding that "It's our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it's certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it."
Fans of the X-Men movie franchise are sure to be thrilled to know this. Just a few days ago, Singer reassured that a teaser for the movie will be released soon. He even shared a photo on Instagram showing he was working with John Nottman to do some finishing touches. Now, with this new announcement fans are going to hit two birds with one stone watching the screening of the next installment to the Star Wars movie franchise and catching a glimpse of the upcoming X-Men movie.
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled to be shown on May 27, 2016. Stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult and Evan Peters will be returning to this 9th installment in the X-Men series. Fans will also see new faces with Sophie Turner, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Tye Sheriden joining the cast as the young Jean Grey, Nightcrawler and Cyclops.
A leaked trailer had been making rounds the past few months after it was shown on Comic-Con. The clip was shown at the end of the event and it was part of the many shocking trailers that the audience was treated to. According to Business Insider though, the trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse was certainly not expected that time as the movie's showing was still pretty far off. Clips of the trailer online have since been removed.
During the Star Wars screening though fans are going to be in for a real treat as there's nothing like watching it on the big screen, as most cinephiles would agree.
