'Fifty Shades Darker' Trailer & Cast: Dakota Johnson Reveals Ana Steele 'Breaks Christian Grey Down', Excited For The Sequel [VIDEO]

"Fifty Shades of Grey" lead actress Dakota Johnson spilled out some details on her role as Anastasia Steele in the forthcoming sequel "Fifty Shades Darker" and how she "breaks Christian Grey down."

Elle Magazine shared that the star explained how she prepared for film adaptation of the 2012 erotic romance novel "Fifty Shades Darker" by famous novelist E.L James. Dakota revealed she had to read the whole novel first to know more about her role as Anastasia Steele.

"While reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways the characters are breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes," the 26-year-old actress said. "I think there's a part of a woman that wants to be a thing that breaks a man down."

Dakota also opened up about playing Anastasia Steele in "Fifty Shades of Grey." She said is not an easy feat as one should be sexually honest, especially when filming the hot sex scenes.

"I don't have any problem doing anything," she revealed. "The secret is I have no shame."

Dakota has been named as one of Elle's Women of the Year. E! Online shared that the "Ben and Kate" star thanked her mother Melani Griffith and grandmother Tippi Harden for where she is now during her acceptance speech in the publication's awards night.

"I want to thank you both for encouraging me and supporting me in all of my endeavors, excluding the time you let me cornrow my hair on vacation and my scalp got sunburned and also when I thought it would be cool to pierce my belly button and I wore dangling jewelry from it," she exposed.

The actress also thanked the two for encouraging her despite going through a phase where she had "questionable" music choices. Dakota also shared how was it growing up with two famous parents, saying that it is awful how the press "like to pick on children of famous people." "It's so, so sad. And there's absolutely nothing you can do about it," she said.

"Fifty Shades Darker" stars Dakota Johnson alongside Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey. The second installment of "Fifty Shades of Grey" Trilogy is slated to be released in February 2017.
