Ellie Goulding’s Album Showcases Unsurprising Music

The artist behind the hit song 'Love Me Like You Do' - Ellie Goulding, displays her talent and diversity in her latest album; however, the English singer and multi-instrumentalist seems to do so in an underwhelming way.

The Hereford, United Kingdom born singer Ellie Goulding, always sets herself away from the pack, but, instead of choosing generic, radio friendly tracks, Goulding stayed true to her identity as a musician. One after the other, the singer has become a respected artist to fans across all genres of music.

Ellie Goulding could be headlining stadiums around the world and soaring high charts nonstop, however, that's just not who Ellie Goulding really is - as the singer's new album, entitled "Delirium," was released Friday, it was self-described as a pop album. It's a much different stroke compared to her last two releases, "Lights" and "Halcyon."

Even though the 'Delirium' album includes 16 newly released songs, the tracks might not be what you expect. Every song of Ellie Goulding's new album is about three-and-a-half to four minutes long, a not so delicate attempt to get the latest tunes on the radio.

Ellie Goulding had on board in her new album some of the world's biggest pop music writers and producers, including the Swedish music producer and songwriter - Max Martin and the American singer, songwriter and producer - Ryan Tedder, who worked closely with the 'Shake It Off' hitmaker Taylor Swift on her wildly successful album - '1989.'

And while the songs on the new album are without doubt more pop-oriented compared to anything Ellie Goulding has ever done, the 'Delirium' album still showcases Ellie Goulding's talent and diversity as a musician.

As the "We Can't Move to This" track, is an upbeat song with a style comparable to the EDM tracks Goulding has been famous for. And the next song on Ellie Goulding's album "Army," is a slow ballad that apprehends the singer's voice perfectly in contrast to the other tracks.
