A custody dispute ended with police being called to the Southern California home of Tyrese Gibson's ex-wife.
Us Weekly reported that "The Fast & Furious" actor was denied visitation with his 6-year-old daughter by his ex-wife, Norma Gibson. After showing up at Norma's Hollywood home to pick up Shayla, Tyrese was denied the right to take the reportedly sick child with him.
The 35-year-old singer/actor reportedly called cops to the scene in order to hash out their custody agreement.
"Norma Gibson, Tyrese's ex-wife, denied him a court custodial order with their daughter, Shayla, on Feb. 11, 2014," a representitve said in a statement to US Weekly. "Tyrese arrived to pick up Shayla and was denied access by her mother. Mr. Gibson called the police to the scene, and Mrs. Gibson called TMZ."
Tyrese was reportedly unable to leave with his daughter.
"Tyrese filed a 730 [custody] evaluation with the courts in 2013, and the family will face a court-sanctioned evaluation this month," the rep explained. "Hopefully this will end this ridiculous feud and Shayla can return to a comfortable environment."
Tyrese and his ex married in 2007 after several years together, but divorced in 2009. Us Weekly reported that the former couple has been feuding for some time.
"Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened," the rep said. "This has been an ongoing saga."
