'X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer & Cast: Plot Spans Across Poland & Egypt, Shows Recruitment of Storm, Jean & Cyclops [VIDEO]

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will most likely take place in the "X-Men: First Class" franchise.

Movie Pilot reported that no characters from Bryan Singer's Trilogy will return in the forthcoming movie, including the fan-favorite mutant Wolverine.

"2016 will be the year of the Apocalypse.... In the Marvel universe and in theaters, that is. X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27, 2016," the report suggested. "By looking at the IMDb website, you can tell a lot about a movie, and by looking at the credits, there is a lot that is revealed about the plot of the movie."

The plot of "X-Men: Apocalypse" will focus on Apocalypse and his arrival. Moreover, the upcoming film will feature what happens before the titular villain arrived, which include Professor X following through his promise from "X-Men: Days of Future Past" to Wolverine to find the X-Men.

The clawed mutant said to Professor X to find Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan). Additionally, the credits feature Ian Geldart as an "Alkali Guard."

Alkali refers to the Alkali Lake where Wolverine was born. Mystique has taken Wolverine, in the movie, as it was left in "Days of Future Past" and has gone to Alkali Lake.

'X-Men: Apocalypse" will begin with Hank McCoy and Professor X on the search for the mutants who Wolverine told them about. They will come across Cyclops first, followed by Storm and then Jean.

All three will be taught in the newly taught school. The event will occur shortly after "X-Men: Days of the Future Past" and will show the arrival of the different mutants.

"However, Charles Xavier would recognize Wolverine's absence and will send a team to Alkali Lake. William Stryker will transform Logan to Wolverine," Parent Herald revealed. "As the two horsemen arrive, Apocalypse would also arrive and talk about how the future was altered and how it awoke him from his long sleep. This will be the new threat in "X-Men: Apocalypse" that the mutant superheroes have to deal with."
