Sennheiser is famous for its durable and high quality design of stage or any audio equipment. Some of the popular products offered by Sennheiser are noise cancelling headphones perfect for busy places and the wireless audio systems for lectures or even for professionals performing on stage.
Sennheiser presented, Tuesday, November 3, on their official website, its new high-end "Orpheus headphone" which they claimed to be the best headphone ever created in the world.
"It is able to deceive our senses in a completely unique way, creating the perfect illusion of being directly immersed in the sound," explained Daniel Sennheiser.
The 6,000 individual components including everything from the tiniest transistors to the all-natural white marble housing which comes from Carrara in Italy and is the same type of marble that Michelangelo used to create his sculptures, were meticulously chosen. To ensure maximum conductivity and an outstanding acoustic performance, luxurious materials such as gold and platinum-plated ceramic are carefully selected and used throughout. The headphones bring an extraordinary audio experience to anyone who will use it.
"The properties of the marble optimally protect the amplifier's core and its unique optics and structure turns each Orpheus into an individual work of art," said Maurice Quarré, Director of Select & Audiophile at Sennheiser. The Orpheus uses an innovative amplifier concept.
"The Orpheus stands for the innovative power of our company and our joint commitment to the pursuit of perfect sound," said CEO Dr. Andreas Sennheiser.
Gregory Porter, a jazz musician, likewise described his listening experience, "When I record my own music, I always try to convey my emotions. I don't know how exactly, but these headphones really do succeed in getting those emotions across."
The new Orpheus will be hand crafted in Germany and will cost around $50,000. It will not be a limited edition, as the first Orpheus was, but no more than 250 will be produced each year.
