Kevin Feige himself is excited that several fans wants Ronda to fill the shoes of the title role. "I love it. That happens occasionally, and I think that's a testament more to the strength of the characters. Going back to my early days at Marvel, there were always various people campaigning to be Wolverine," he said during an interview with Heroic Hollywood during the recent "Avengers: Age Of Ulron" Q&A.

"I guess that was pre-Twitter and pre-Internet days, but still for some reason would pop up in Wizard Magazine. Wizard Magazine would always have 'this person wants to play this role!' It's a testament to how great the characters are that it appeals to such a wide range of talented, talented people," he added.

Olivia Wilde

Olivia is one of those actresses who were reported to take interest in the role. She even confessed that she is a big fan of superhero films.

"I would love to create a female Marvel character who is just as unexpected and complex as some of the male characters as Iron Man. I think that would be really cool!" the actress said.

Olivia immediately got the support of Cinematographer Reed Morano who supported the star following a Twitter suggestion from Film School Rejects that they should work together in the film. The two even discussed the probability of working together on their Twitter accounts.

Natalie Dormer

Natalie has the spunk, fierceness and wit which mirrors the characteristics of Carol Danvers. However, the "Game of Thrones" actress has not proven herself yet as a major film actress since she has only done TV shows.

Charlize Theron

MTV said in a report that Marvel is listening to fan suggestions; Charlize Theron turned out to be a big favorite among fans. The actress has already showed how badass she can be in "Mad Max: Fury Road."

Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt already showed off her skills on handling action movies when she worked in "Edge of Tomorrow" opposite to Tom Cruise. However, the British actress might not be able to get the role as "Captain Marvel" with the reports that a sequel of the movie is set to be underway.

"Captain Marvel" is set to hit theaters and break records on November 2018.
